EVA 2001 Warsaw took place from the 18th to the 19th November 2001 at the Central Archives of Historical Records, Warsaw, Dluga 7 Str. EVA conferences bring together scientists and other interested people from museums, galleries, libraries and public administration. Users, suppliers and scientific research communities exchange experiences, ideas and plans.
Supported by the European Commission within the IST Program a new initiative began in January 2001: the EVAN Project (Electronic Imaging and the Visual Arts Networking). This refers to people and networking between EC Projects as well as general efforts to disseminate leading-edge practice and apply new technology results in the cultural field using the EVA conferences around the world.
