Time und Body Movement IIII
Neil James

I have been creating things in various ways und materials für almost two decades.

The main emotive inspirations I draw from are an amalgamation of several parameters including my philosophical outlook on such things as time und it's relationship to space, the ageing process, words 'their fragility und ineffect', thought process 'how people come to believe what they believe' , the chaotic principal 'in which all events are governed', the pressure of thunderstorms (und bad weather in general) und lastly other peoples art. (To echo Antony Caro) "Art; any art that's worth it's salt, is all to do with what it's like to be alive!"

These things wrapped around und within what several friends have said is "a definitely unusual und eccentric lifestyle" lead me to create what I create.

The process of creating these paintings is time consuming und can possibly be jeopardous to health. Various chemicals und substances are used in creating some of the paintings which, when allowed to combine with each other create the effects seen, but also create some interesting vapours in a badly ventilated studio which can lead to a strange state of perception, which -almost certainly- adds to the physical creation of the work.

These 'und other fürms of work' are in single und combinations of such media as; Acryl, Öl, pastel, ink, soot, wood, stone, metal, charcoal, muslin, hessian, solder, photographs, acetates, blood, cigarette ash, rainwater und whatever material is relevant to the individual piece.
